Newt Love:
Ben Pace Novels

This page lists Ben Pace Novels, in print and works in process. When I have time, I will supply a short description and plot summary for each.

Ben Pace Novels

The Ben Pace story arc is still in development. The initial novel is in print, and there are two additional story plots prepared, but they do not have titles, yet. More on these when I have a chance.
The first Ben Pace Novel is small image of the book cover How the Strong Survive..
The Plot: Four women—victims of a serial rapist—ask Ben Pace--a Lakhota priest who is living off the Rez--for help in acquiring justice. The rapist is a member of a rich and powerful family who were able to have the District Attorney bring the case to trial early, before it was ready, and easy to beat. Ben's spirit guide--Raven Who Hops--directs Ben to help the women. Raven informs Ben that the fate of the women is tied to Ben's life-walk, and to the Red Nations. By helping the women, Ben will discover how to advance another step in his training as a priest, and also how to help the Red Nations advance in their quest to acquire justice from the US Government over treaty violations, including thefts from the Department of the Interior's Indian Trust Funds.

In January 2008, Newt sold the French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, and Greek language rights to How the Strong Survive (HTSS), with first option rights on all his subsequent novels to Pascal Galodé éditeurs.

Until October 15, 2007, Monsieur Galodé was "la tête de la maison d'édition d'origine monégasque" (the head of the publisher) Le Rocher -- last press account: 550 titles in 2005. In June 2007, the Pierre-Fabre group completed the acquisition of Le Rocher, and four months later, brought in their own executive, Vincent Wackenheim, to lead Le Rocher, forcing Mr. Galodé out.

Being too vigorous to retire, he formed a new publishing company, Pascal Galodé éditeurs. in Saint-Malo, France. (As of March 2008) After six months in business, his new house had eight titles.

Monsieur Galodé's interest in Newt's novels certainly says something about the quality of Newt's writing. Newt is awed that HTSS is chosen as the first book to be translated by this intrepid company, led by one of the most distinguished players in European and the global publishing industry. Newt trusts that Mr. Galodé is right in selecting HTSS, and that it will meet his expectations as his editions are released throughout the EU.

The French version, the French book cover La Voie des Braves, is published by Pascal Galodé Éditeurs of Saint-Malo, France, and translated by Sholby. He is very talented, and his second novel—in French with an English title—Crossing the Williamsburg Bridge is also being published by Pascal Galodé Éditeurs.

Q: Why isn;t there more about the Lakhota culture on this website?

The Lakhota are part of the "Sioux" tribes, only we do not call ourselves by that name. The Dakhota, the Nakhota, and the Lakhota are an ancient people who have been greatly abused by misunderstandings with the white people. When we were open, the whites of that time leaped to many wrong and hurtful conclusions, and extracted a painful toll from us. We decided to shut up.

We are a private people. Our culture and ways are sacred to us. We don;t talk about our sex lives in public, and we treat our culture and religion as equal in privacy.

You are welcome to use a search engine to find what you can about us. I cannot tell more than what I wrote in my novel. The Elders and our Council Fires have said to keep our mouths shut. I honor their leadership.

Two quick thoughts:
Christians that call us devil worshippers for our pow-wow dances forget their own old testament, (2nd Samuel 6:16 - 23) when King David returned to his camp and vigorously danced naked in the dance circle in front of God and the Jews in camp.
We are all relations of the same GrandFather. Archaeologists have dated religious artifacts and places on (sacred) Mahto Paha in the Black Hills to as far back as 18,000 years. The Jewish father Abraham killed the ram instead of Issaac only 4,250 years ago. The Christian Prophet Jesus was born around 2,000 years ago. The Islamic Prophet Mohammed was only 1,300 years ago.

I present here a few thoughts that have received praise from fellow nDns on the various nDn discussion groups I participate in. They are not words from the elders. They are just my words as I spoke for just myself, reprinted here to help promote understanding.
